Young Professional of the Month – Mallory Chaput

MalloryMallory Chaput is a graduate from the Bachelor of Commerce program of Nipissing University, with a focus on financial management, and partaking in managerial accounting. Mallory also has two diplomas, one for Small Business Management from Canadore College and the other for Cosmetic Techniques and Manage-ment from Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.

In addition to her role as Project Coordinator at Karen Jones Consulting Inc., Mallory is an Events Coordinator for the Downtown Improvement Area of North Bay. Working in partnership with the City of North Bay, Mallory has coordinated a series of events, one including the Cruisin’ Downtown 6 car show and the upcoming Vacant Building Tour event. She works closely with the Economic Development Department within the City of North Bay, doing research and presentations.

Mallory is also an active member and volunteer with the Rotaract club of North Bay, helping with several fundraising events and charities. She is also a volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society, actively participating and helping coordinate the Colours of Hope, fundraising run. Mallory has been recently named a Ruby Ambassador with the Ruby Yoga Studio.

Mallory has also worked as an Administrative Assistant at Central Welding, where she ran an efficient office through time management; precise data entry; effective use of office equipment; completion of work to management standards and strong customer service skills. She has also worked as a customer service representative at Bank of Montreal, developing a loyal customer base by assisting customers with their financial needs and banking services. Dealing with customers has enabled her to hone her communication skills and be adept at dealing with many diverse situations from providing information, selling products or ideas and managing difficult situations with tact and diplomacy. She effectively works as a team member and also completes tasks on an individual basis.
