Aug 18, 2015 | News, Young Professional Spotlight (Archive) | 5 comments

tessacTessa joined North Bay’s workforce in 2012, after studying English at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia. She was proudly wearing her shiny new X-Ring, recognized as the country’s premier university ring, when she started working in the financial industry.

Three years later, Tessa ventured into the Not-for-Profit sector when she was offered the Executive Director position at the Military Family Resource Centre, located at CFB North Bay. As a former military dependant and a current military spouse, it is the perfect fit. The MFRC offers services and programming to support the military community, and includes a childcare centre as well as a family medical clinic. It is a dynamic organization that aims to meet the unique needs of military family life.

Outside of work, Tessa is active in the community as the President of Rotaract, the Education and Health Chairperson for the Pro-Cathedral’s CWL, and the co-facilitator of the Tillicum Corporation Board. In her spare time she enjoys her book club, playing dodgeball, and sharing Battalion season tickets with her siblings and her husband.
