Andrea was born and raised in North Bay. After completing high school at Widdifield Secondary School on the Ontario Honour Roll she moved to Ottawa for post-secondary education. She began her Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Ottawa in 2007. After two years of undergraduate studies, she worked at the Office of the Auditor General for a summer term. Subsequently, Andrea joined the Co-Op program and returned to North Bay for Co-Op work terms with Grant Thornton LLP. Upon graduation with distinction from the Honours Bachelor of Commerce with specialization in Accounting, Andrea returned to Grant Thornton LLP in North Bay for full-time employment and began the process of becoming designated as a Chartered Accountant. Andrea successfully wrote and passed all three exams in 2012 and became fully designated as a Chartered Professional Accountant in July 2013. During her time being employed with Grant Thornton she has gained experience in accounting, auditing, and tax while providing an exceptional client experience. Andrea now concentrates in providing tax services for owner managed businesses. She continually works on creating strong collaborative relationships with fellow young professionals in the business community.
