Powassan Maple Syrup Festival

Powassan Maple Syrup Festival

An annual event that shines light on the traditional manufacture of maple syrup from start to finish has grown to include maple syrup bush tours, product sales, pancake breakfasts, competitions featuring pancake-flipping, lumberjack skills, and Scottish heavy games, demonstrations of sheep sheering, forging, and as well as live musical entertainment and dancing. A kids zone allows children to explore science through hands-on exhibits, while the traditional pony rides, petting zoo, and taffy pulls are always a big draw for the children. Artisans and businesses exhibit their products and services on the streets and inside some buildings situated on the main streets of Powassan.

This family event is free to attend and attracts thousands to Powassan for its one-day festival during the maple syrup-producing season and always occurs on the fourth Saturday of April – this year Saturday April 22nd.
