Congratulations, Natasha Penn, Young Professional of the Month for February! Natasha is a graduate of the three year Business Administration Program at Canadore College. Through school she had the opportunity to work within Elliot Lake and North Shore Economic Development Corporation where she had a first taste of the obstacles that small and medium businesses face in Northern Ontario. Being able to assist small businesses with start ups and expansions in her home town was where she first found her passion; economic development especially within the northern communities. During her final year of college she was given the opportunity to complete her work placement at The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound where she transitioned into an internship has now moved onto a full time position as their Business Development Advisor. Natasha is responsible for providing professional business counseling services to clients as well as assisting businesses with market research, business planning and various funding applications. This experience has allowed her to be active within the North Bay community and to participate on various committees including the YP committee.
