James Tjthornehorne is finishing his Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours from Nipissing  University. He has been involved with the North Bay arts community over the past few years. He has exhibited his works at Nipissing University, the White Water   Gallery and the WKP Kennedy Gallery. He was the co-chair for the North Bay Art Student Collective and is now a member of the Downtown Gallery Hop committee. Through his volunteer experiences with the Fine Arts department and the Line Gallery, James developed many skills in curatorial practices. He put these skills to use in 2014, when he started the Westlake Gallery.

The Westlake Gallery is a not-for-profit public resource dedicated to exhibiting local and emerging artists, providing educational opportunities, and promoting local engagement with the arts community. It has become a part of the Downtown Gallery Hop, which has events approximately every two months. The gallery is now booked until 2016 with local artists like Brent Kluke, Jackie Carter and Alex Campbell.

James is excited for the future ahead as a young entrepreneur and artist. He would like to thank everyone who have supported him in his pursuits over the years.
